OUR STORY
A Century of Doing Things Our Way
Over a hundred years ago, Walter J. Koehn entered the jewelry world as a watchmaker's apprentice at the ripe old age of 12. (Those were different times folks.) It molded a philosophy that continues to this day:
Treat people right. Do great work. Don’t be a jerk about it.
In the early 1940's he set up shop in West Bend, Wisconsin, where we’ve been rocking ever since. In the 1970s, Walter’s son Jack Koehn took over and carried the business forward, building the strong local reputation that’s still our foundation today.
Fast forward through three generations, and here we are—Andy and Jenn Koehn, still family-owned, still doing things our way, still allergic to corporate BS.
(Andy officially took the reins in the 1990s, keeping the same spirit alive with a modern twist—and maybe a little more rock’n’roll.)
We Turned Down the Pressure and Turned Up the Music
Because buying jewelry should feel as good as wearing it.
Walking into a jewelry store shouldn’t make you nervous.
It should feel welcoming—like a place where you can relax, have a real conversation, and maybe even have some fun.
So that’s what we built:
a store where people come to celebrate, not stress out.
Where the music’s good, the vibe’s easy, and everyone’s treated like they belong here.

CONCERT OF JEWELRY STORES”.

Authentic, real. This story feels like a home with little touches that made me want to take a trip to their actual store. They don’t follow what others do. Really cute and real.
What Makes Us Different? Everything.
The Vibe:
Walk in and you’ll hear rock music, see guitars on the walls, and—if it’s the weekend—probably spot a taco truck outside.
We’ve got leather, denim, and zero velvet cushions.
The People:
Our team actually likes being here.
We help you figure out what you really want, crack a few jokes, pour you a drink, and make the whole thing way less stressful than you expected. (Just check out our reviews!)
The Goldsmith:
Ali’s been our master goldsmith for more than a decade.
She’s right here in-house, creating custom pieces and handling repairs with laser welding and CAD tech.
When we say we can make your vision real, we mean it—and Ali’s the one doing it.
The Approach:
No haggling. No hassle. No pressure.
Our prices are transparent and fair, and if you find something comparable elsewhere, we’ll price-match it.
We’re not here to play games—we’re here to help you find (or create) something you’ll love.
Jewelry should move you. It should celebrate who you are and what you love. That’s what we do here—create pieces and experiences that light people up, mark life’s biggest moments, and make it all feel effortless. We do it our way: with guitars on the walls, real conversation, and a team that actually loves what they do.
Real People. Real Jewelry. Zero Weird Vibes.
Our Battle Cry: Rock Your World
Whether you’re a nervous guy shopping for an engagement ring, a couple designing something custom from inherited stones, or someone who just wants a killer piece of jewelry without the corporate experience—we’ve got you.
We’ve been doing this for over a century.
We’ve seen trends come and go.
We’ve helped thousands of people mark the biggest moments of their lives.
And we’ve done it all while keeping it real, keeping it fun, and keeping it human.
We Specialize in Making It Easy
We’re the third generation running this family business, and we’re proud to carry on Walter’s legacy—with our own twist.
Andy’s the guy behind the Buy Like a Guy podcast and the book The Inappropriate Guide to Buying an Engagement Ring—helping nervous dudes navigate the process with humor and honesty.
Jenn keeps everything running smoothly and makes sure every client feels like family.
Together, we’ve built a team and a space that reflects who we really are:
real people who love what we do, hate pretense, and believe jewelry should be about joy, not stress.
