Not just because I say so, but because you say so.
I may have found them and earned the right to bring them here…but YOU are the ones who keep them here.
For all the romantic talk and sexual innuendo that is the underpinning of our industry, the simple fact is this: If people donâ€™t buy what youâ€™re selling…itâ€™s not that great.
This is true for bands, artists, restaurants, shoe companies and lemonade stands. Good intentions are cute, but true brands deliver consistently awesome experiences and products.
They speak to vastly different age groups and value sets, and have an appeal that goes beyond words. Theyâ€™re the â€œYouâ€™ll know it when you see it,â€ types, and we have bunch of them, which I love.
Hearts On Fire, Tacori, Simon G, Pandora, Alex and Ani, Henri Daussi, and Artcarved are some of the most influential brands on the planet. Youâ€™ve heard me say that before, but donâ€™t just take my word for it. Go to their Facebook pages and Instagram accounts and check out how many followers they have. Numbers donâ€™t lie, man.
Koehn & Koehn has never been a sleepy store, and the brands we keep are part of the overall experience that makes us less stodgy than the big boys. We earned these brands, and fought a little to get them, and won.
And weâ€™re hoping for another win very soon. I wonâ€™t mention their name yet because I donâ€™t want to jinx it (Yes, Iâ€™m one of those guys), but Iâ€™ve been talking with them since February.
I just want it to makes sense for us and them, but mostly for you. We want to â€œWowâ€ you…and I think this is the ticket.
So after much cajoling and considering and calling and emailing we were finally able to meet with them this past week, and Jenn and I both agree: we want them here.
If it goes through, and we get another â€œwin,â€ I promise youâ€™ll be the first to know.
